Has anybody noticed that this Cayenne Turbo has the rounded rectangle exhaust tips of the Panamera Turbo instead of the conventional twin dual-tubes? What's the deal with that?
There are also changes to the side skirts, rear bumper and rear spoiler (as Wonderbar pointed out). Most likely the sport package?

Thank you for the shoots!
If you see a car like that again driving around at the red light - please make sure to hold the lens inside. We need pictures of the cockpit, speed meter, dashboard, etc. Also interesting would be, to see the rear seat row of an convertible!
I think Porsche want these pictures to circulate and stimulate interest.
The end of the 997 is very near. In 5 months time approximately, production of the 991 will start. More and more of the car will be revealed under the camo week by week.
Let's see if these early renderings are near the real car.

I think this looks very close to the what the car will be. Look at the side mirrors in 1st pic, they look the same as on the latest camo cars .
Just the top of the roof on pic 2 does not have the ' extra spoiler' , but on pic one the roof is black

I think I've said it before but I'd love the 991 to turn out like that particular render.
Really? I don't like it very much.
991.2 will be the better looking car
Plenty of time then...
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.

The air intakes need some work but i think the overall shape is very good, specially the back. I think from the spy pics the rear lights probably are narrow like that.
991 info from my source-received today...
-bigger overall in size then current 997.2(longer wheelbase)
-engines refined, more powerfull, torque delivery better at low revs
-PDK refined also, PDK programms developed further
-few suprieses(dynamic engine mount as option on Carrera models as one) in chassis development
-20" wheels on S models
-more expensive then 997.2 Carrara models

I think we already knew that...here's one for your source: will it have more space in the back ? Or only the front occupants benefit from the extended wheelbase ? Also, is the engine location moved slightly forward, as the rumours indicate it is ?

Wideer body-wider inside space. Marginally more space at the back(still usable for very small kids only). Extension of wheelbase is based on drive dynamics stability. Prime reason is not interior space size. Engine will stay where it is.

i don't think we will see 4.0l on the flat six anytime soon.
...there may well be a 4.0 litre flat-six (based on the GT1-derived motorsport engine) in the next GT3 derivative...

..then that is very interesting Kreso. Considering that the current RSR has a 4.0 Lt engine and there is no road going equivalent for homologation purposes, I wonder how Porsche will be able to carry on racing its RSR (or R) in GT2....unless of course , the ACO provide them with a waiver. (I hate waivers! IMO you either follow the rules (and I don't mean the "spirit of the rules") or you cant race).

You forgot that there will be 997.2X GT3 RS with 4.0L engine-intro late Spring 2011-as last version of 997.2 line.

Sorry - I miss-interrupted your earlier statement. I now understand that you were referencing solely the 991.
Yes, the 997.2X GT3 RS will be a stop gap, but eventually there will have to be a 991GT3 RS with a 4.0 Lt engine....unless of course by that time Porsche is concentrating on F1... in which case we will see a 1.6 turbo (joke).

I can imagine (also based on Kreso's little hint), that Porsche is focussing on a "green" image now. Based on that, it would make sense that we'll see engines with equal or less volume, but with higher power output. So in that light, 4.0l might be far-fetched, or only for a very limited number of 911 models, surely not for the whole line-up.
