BTW, the text mentions that the turbo S was tested on standard tires - no Michelin Cup. This should explain part of the difference in lap time - Kurt Thiim is the explanation for the other part 
9,4 sec for 0-200 km/h is done in stock form but since it was the fastest run out of 7, he dropped that time because other 6 was around 9,8.
Nevertheless, he posted the time of the best run, too.

10 seconds flat are realistic for the 997 Turbo S, everything under 10 seconds is questionable but I guess we already discussed that. 
I'm more impressed by the 0-100 kph time...2.9 seconds, I did this time myself in a 997 Turbo S and it wasn't difficult. Without launch control, you get times of slightly above 3 seconds, still not bad.

Guys an F1 car from 2000 use to make 2,6 sec to 100Kph and 4,2 sec to 200Kph. The turbo wish weights one more ton than an F1 car makes it in 2,8Sec
...unbelieveble
While power to weight ratio obviously plays a part in the 0-100 kph equation, traction and fast gear shifts are the driving force behind the Turbo S's amazing time.
