race seats here are $15k AUD and i have been told the stripe is around $2k AUD as they haven't received a reply with the cost from the factory yet. so it looks like $2k is around the money.
alcantara inserts in the race seats are $1667.00 AUD.
looks hot and IMHO the way to go. 
My dealer's demo arrived this morning so he whizzed pic's over to me straight away. I'll be going to test drive it late next week. Giallo Tri Strato with the optional grey finish on the sports wheels. He's going to send me some interior pics later.
I enlarged the pic - they have hot dogs.
Just a thought - it looks like a real nice area, clean, nice trees, beautiful cars and the weather was nice. Make some extra time when you pick up the loaner and enjoy some munchies just taking in the experience. I forget your family situation, but sharing that time with the SO, a child, a nephew would be something long remembered.
Not many people get to do that and so many people are always in a rush.

A absolutely love this car now. But to say its similar to F430 is a stretch. Of course it has references in front bonnet, side lines, roof and rear layout but its fair to say all panels are of new design and lovely too. The only little beef is with the front bumper. but then again i also didn't fancy the F430 round ovals either.
A 458 in white with the above red stitched interior is an absolute dream car!!! I say it again, job well done Ferrari!!
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

I love the 458 in every aspect, but would never buy one because I want to be more low-key. That's where Porsche comes in to the picture 
Anyone else who thinks the seats looks like they belong in a batmobile with the "wings", or is it just me

I had a test drive of the Giallo Tri Strato car yesterday. Awesome doesn't begin to describe it. It's unbelievable how good Ferrari have made this car. It's like a Scuderia with a comfort mode for everday driving. The grip, power, steering and gearbox are all fantastic. I quickly got used to the controls being mounted on the stering wheel and found them very simple to use. The TFT display screens are easier to read than the one in my Cali due to their positioning and the menu controls make accessing them both very easy.
I got the call today to confirm my car is now at status 60 which means it is built and I should receive it within 2 or 3 weeks

At status 85 which means in storage prior to transport so I hope to get confirmation it's loaded onto the delivery truck on Monday which should mean arrival at my dealer on Thursday afternoon.

I saw two 458s today at Goodwood, both had nero leather sports seats with red stitch and only one had the red centre stripe. The car without it looked too plain IMHO. You really have to see the seats with the coloured centre stripe in person as photo's don't do them justice.
I've not decided on what to do with my Scud as yet but my dealer has someone interested in buying it so will see if that becomes a firm offer.
Actually, since you thought 458 have 2 personality inside, and one of them is holigan Scud, maybe it is better to let it go.
Are you driving your Maserati when you have the Cali ?
