Congrats and welcome to the club!!! I had the opportunity to take a X5M and X6M on the track last week along with other M cars. I have to admit, on this fast track (Philip Island MotoGP track) it was probably as fast as a M3! Very weird car to drive though in that kind of situation!

Just got back from my 1000km golf trip over the weekend.
Wow what a drive with the X6M through the mountain highway. I am superbly impressed by it's handling, and power, and power. Did I mention power?
BMW tuned the EDC spot on, the car was absolutely stable through all the twisting corners, no drama at all. There is really no need for BMW to offer the option to turn that thing off ever. For a few turns I tried with EDC off, I have to say the car feels completely different and quite scary at times if I go at the corners with any speed.
I have driven the same trip in the Turbo before, and while the Turbo was more fun, the X6M offered about 80-90% of the performance, with more comfort and much much more room for stuff. 2 golf bags with 2 small duffel bags in the Porsche vs 2 golf bags with 2 suitcases plus room for more shopping in the X6M.
Fuel consumption was quite tolerable too, I averaged 14l/100km over the trip, that's almost 17mpg. Granted, I was short shifting around 4.5-5k rpm, so I really didn't quite tap into the max potential of the engine, but there was over 7000ft of elevation change up and down the mountain, and most of the I am traveling about 30km/hr over the posted speed, with short bursts of over 160 on the straights. The highway was practically empty except for a few RVs and trailers, dispatching them was just s snap.
For those who are interested, it's the BC-3 highway from Hope to Osoyoos.

I know the black ones are much more aggressive than the stock ones after seeing intouch's pics on his thread, but it is the one of the reasons I ordered them, together with the black out grill and I will be getting my windows tinted next week to go all out with the aggressive look.
Surprisingly, my wife likes the aggressive look better, she is already eye-ing the keys to MY X6M.
Don't worry, this look is only for the summer, I am putting winter tires on the stock rims so I can be less flashy in the winter time.

All that matters is that YOU like how it looks, we all have our own opinions. Either way it still looks fantastic and I'm sure you're having tons of fun with it.
