CloseWhat is everyone's opinion on Riviera Blue? I personally love it and will most likely pick it for my 2011 GT3.
From my reading, others seem to like it too but wouldn't order it. Isn't it a timeless classic Porsche color? What gives? Would I be married to the car because of the color?

IMHO you'll be fine - with a GT3, bold, non-metallic colours work fine - especially classic colours - so it shouldn't affect your ability to on-sell in future.

I love the colour and thought hard about it for my car.
In the end i went for white as i ntend to track the car a lot and thus wanted a colour that would be easier to touch in the stone chips. Also it would have added a production delay to my car and cost an extra £2700, which i thought was better spent on other toys for it.
Another colour worth considering is Mexico blue. Very similar, see below:-
When I ordered my car I had some thoughts about the color blue. Riviera, Mexico or Oslo blue were my favorits. I used this thread http://www.teamspeed.com/forums/porsches-past-general-porsche-news/873-all-shades-blue-offered-porsche.html to get information about different shades of blue.
But in the end I ordered i complete plain black Boxster. Difficult to maintain, but looking great (personal taste).
But for a GT2/3/RS blue would be my favorit. Maybe Oslo blue because this would be very unique
