Some chump at Michelin UK seems to think the N1's are OK and even front N1s can be mixed with rear N2s

I'd ignore Michelin's information in this instance if I were you because, to my knowledge, Porsche has never confirmed approval of a set of tires consisting of fronts and rears with a different N-number.

The differences might be insignificant, but you'll never know that for sure unless things go wrong.

2009 997 GT2 659PS/827NM DIN

My tire dealer - different from my Porsche dealer... - told me that Michelin confirmed that the N1 spec is the right tire for the GT2. That's why I am even more interested in what Porsche will officially recommend Smiley Hope to hear back from them tomorrow Smiley

Toby which are the correct dimensions for the GT2? Front 245/35/19 at 19x9 wheels And Rear 325/30/19 at 19x12? Also you mention you read about the GT2rs specs? What's the power rumour now? And is it really GT1 block engine?

It dosent state if its N1 or N2 or N0 but i just did it in there car selector

There is an interesting comment in Sportauto's Supertest (GT3 RS) article regarding the MPSC N1 tires (same dimensions as for the GT2) - the tires are different in both compound and "construction" ? (Aufbau) compared to the smaller tires for the GT3. Obviously the wider N1s are more "sporty" - higher g-forces possible but significantly worse performance in the wet. Worse in terms of laptime, not neccessarily in feelling/feedback according to HvS.
