Closebetter pic - very nice as digital displays go, easy to read and 4 separate analog displays angled at driver on the tranny tunnel, and they have ambient lighting strips like merc.

And if GM sicks the same handling gurus on the Z28 as they put on the ZR1, then watch out. Pretty amazing when a chevy camaro the peoples car is kicking butt on some of europes elite and looking good and sounding great while doing it. GM and other US car companies may not be able to run the numbers side of the biz but they can make great cars if they want.
This is a lesson to Detroit, make cars that look good and people will buy them. Because of factors like electric cars keeeping oil demand low as time goes on this could be the golden age of muscle cars as FORD is planning some big things for the Mustang!
The center display also gives out onstar directions to the driver, not cheap imo. Anyways the whole reason for the excitment of this car are the looks. It looks great in person a true badass 60's muscle car look.
this was on "human target" last night, they had a silver 1 on the week before and I saw 1 the other day. This is a great looking car, especially in the wilder colors with the decals. Funny that even ferrari is going with the decals more nowadays.

+1 major problem of most american producers. On the other hand side, the prices are very feasible!
That goes into the silly bin. Kinda like going to McDonald's expecting validated parking, a fully stocked wine cellar, and a Sommelier. I have not sat in one yet but I hear it is very nice, so pictures may not do it justice. I have sat in a Dodge Challenger and have commented about that in the past. Amazingly comfortable and beautifully done leather seats.
I was taking a walk yesterday evening and heard a great car sound, so I turn around to see what it is - a older 928 and even though not one of the best models or condition it sounded awesome and looked good. Just then a new Dodge Challenger came by the opposite direction, no contest sound or for exotic looks, because of the lowness of the 928.
But still muscle cars are cool and the Camaro is way ahead of the challenger and mustang. It is the best new car design (non-hyper car) in a long time. The shape, the colors, the decals - Perfect. Even looks good in white.

Yep - I didnt want to offend anyone from the US.
I love this car as I love the Corvette or any other strong US car. The issue we are talking about is, that driving an US car in Europe gives you a kind of "pimp" touch. If you are a serious business person, you would never drive with such a car to the client. This cars have a touch like a Ferrari - very pimp! Unfortunately people dont look on the price, design or shape of the car, they just see US car, good looking = equal to pimp. (of course I'm exhilarating a little bit, but this is the direction).
And again - I love this car (but don't like this interior shot I was commenting to!)
Man I love this car. I don't care that it is based on our taxi (Holden Commodores), it is hot as hell! When are they making the RHD version? I have been waiting for awhile. I sure hope they do given that this car was developed right at my door step in Melbourne! When we raced at GM's local proving grounds (Lang Lang) last year, there were a fleet of these in camo. I was told that they are waiting to be crushed as they were the developement engineering cars.

They are selling really really well it seems like. So far in town i've seen 5 different ones in various colors with nice options. Despite the dealer having closed due to the fact that their cars are inferior. What strikes me as funny is the in-house competition created. Apparently, most all camaro sales are at the expense of Covette sales. Doesn't sound good for the company. I'm not surprised though when you can get the same engine, good performance and fresh trendy looks as well as the Camaro name for cheaper than the same plastic Corvette....
It still very much has that pimp or childish simply because it is BIG and seems plastic all around. The interior is much better but still somewhat off. IMO i think its a cool car as much as the Hummer or Mini, but not really serious enough to be really mainstream. I like the modern cut looks, but it falls short of being Beautiful.
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

Very true. Another point could be the state of the economy. People simply buying cheaper cars.

Unlike Camaro, Challenger/Cuda looks are still better in the 60/70's than the remake and here is a great looking 1970 challenger

Great New commercial for the 2011 Mustang GT that has stepped up to match the Camaro and Challenger. Great engine and tranny with a stock H-pipe for the exhaust. Front looks good, but the back is still a little off.
This is the best years for muscle car fans, these 3 cars are better than ever (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger) plus of course the vette is better than ever.
