3.4 second to 60 mls/hr isnt that a tad slow these days for such a performance focused car? It does not weigh more than the current 997.2tt and the F1 transmission is definitely not slower than the pdk. Ok its rwd but with pretty sticky new tires so I would expected this to be lower. 0-200 in under 10 seconds in pretty good though for stock car (even though the mp12c will be faster by around 0.5 seconds for half the price).
3,35s 0-100km/h means 0-60mph in about 3,2s. Which is awesome for a front-engined RWD car. I actually refuse to believe this kind of time will be achieved in all the magazine tests. 0-200km/h in 9,8s is also great and whats more, Ferrari is usually underestimating this figures. For 599GTB it officialy is 11,0s and it did 10,3s in a test, for Scud 11,6 and it did 11,0s etc...
This car is stunning.

Ferrari's new extreme V12 berlinetta, the 599 GTO, delivers a lap time of just 1 minute and 24 seconds at Fiorano, making it the fastest road-going model in our history. This limited edition special series of just 599 is the new pinnacle of Prancing Horse sportiness and has benefited to an enormous degree from technological transfers from the track. Many of the cutting-edge solutions sported by the 599 GTO are also the product of the Maranello engineers' experience in the development of the 599XX, the prototype experimental car of which, as its legendary moniker suggests, the 599 GTO is the road-homologated version

I like the part of being limited to "only" 599 cars. Its a Ferrari - I though that they are a low volume manufacture and hence 599 cars is a lot to me. 59 would be limited in that context. In any case a friend of mine is getting one too so I hope to steal a ride...
I saw quite a few GTO's last week at the factory. It looks superb. Far, far more aggressive than a regular 599 and the noise is incredible. They brought one round to the Atelier for a Japanese customer to see and the sound on start up is sublime. I rather liked a completed car on the V12 line in this scheme.

Isuk! You heard one and you didn't sneak in a camera phone video?

You're going to love this car for sure Mike. It sounds like a LeMans racer on start up and idle.
The interior looks totally different just with the change to the use of technical fabric, alcantara and a very, very nice satin finish carbon fibre trim. Of the two tone cars I like the rosso corsa with the satin black roof. There weren't any with the historic racing livery with the horizontal yellow stripe across the bonnet but the Atelier guy said it was his favourite look for the car.
