    Re: Audi RS5 in Geneva

    AlexisP:

    Hello KresoF1,

What is the level of Co2 of RS5 ?

Greater than 245g/km ? (This is the limit in France where you need to pay 2600 € when you buy the car + annual fee of 130 € vs 1600€ without any annual fee when Co2 <246g/km)

    Thanks for your answer,

    ALEXISP

Unfortunately these new taxes suck kind of everywhere. Here in Switzerland in my canton (that's like a state) the taxes for cars registered from January 2009 who fall into the 'G' category (that's about 250g CO2 i believe) pay a tax increase by 50%. So actually all this theoretical fuel consumption reduction (like here to 10.8l) does not help the customer cause you are still in the highest category (it helps Audi to lower fleet consumption though).

In any case you'd pay clearly less tax on a 2008 RS6 than on a 2010 RS5, although according to Audi there is a big consumption differential...Smiley

First, good to see you here again.Smiley

My first choice is Monza Silver Metallic with Black leather interior(Bucket seats). Black exterior optics, 20" Rotor design in Titanium, Sport exhaust with Black tailpipes and exterior mirrors in exterior color.

Other option is to order Graphit Grey Metallic via Audi Exclusive. BTW, Graphit Grey is the SAME color as Porsche's Meteor Grey.

If I were allowed a vote, I would say that a Graphite Grey car with the black package (aka option no. 2) would look stunningSmiley.

    Re: Audi RS5 in Geneva

    Very classy job from Audi

IMO the bucket seats (front and rear) as pictured above are a bit extreme for this car. I would go for normal seats.

    Re: Audi RS5 in Geneva

The RS5 is a great looking and for sure performing car. All for a reasonable price! What more can you ask for - maybe a bit more prestigè? Audis are great cars in general, they just dont have the right image, at least in Germany! Car fanatics know their quality and the look, but still - there is always the thing in the mind that it is the ordinarys teachers car.

How? With 1725kg, 450ps and 430Nm? Even if S Tronic do its part of the miracle 14.5s is not possible.

R8 V8 still NEEDS to be faster car overall. If you get my point...

Audi build a car that fits perfectly into its model range. Point was not to build a Nissan GT-R or R8 beater. That do not make any sense at all.

    Re: Audi RS5 in Geneva

What's with the fake exhaust? Fake chrome rings on the bumper surrounding some blackened metal pipes, and they are not even touching.

    Re: Audi RS5 in Geneva

Same as on TT RS, R8 V10 or Ferrari California... I do not have a problem with it.

    It should be dry weight.

    EU is 1.800 kg.

M3 would be 1800 kg if it was AWD like the RS5..... so the cars have very similar "density" considering different drive systems.    I agree both are heavier than most of us would like, but  Audi did not use the aluminium chassis (like TT) for all platforms yet.  Maybe in the next versions of the A4-A5.
