I don't think there is a standard fit! What do you have at the moment? I've had Michellin Pilot Sport since the car was new (most people prefer them), however I'm thinking of changing to Bridgestone as they were quite impressive on a Cayman I once took out. Goes without saying that anything you fit has to be Porsche rated. My PS2s are yet again being very lumpy on full steering lock in the cold weather. (Due to the stiff side Walls). Really annoying, feels like you have a puncture or something, and embarrassing when you have to assure your passenger that it is normal!!) I wonder if anyone else gets it quite so bad?
You even get that on the 18" but I've been really impressed with the PS2
Resistance if futile!
A lot of users and reviews confirm that the Michelin PS2 N rated tyres work best for Porsches.
My Boxster had come with Continental Sport Contact 2s, but when I changed my tyres, I got the Michelins, and the car felt much smoother, cornered much better, and the steering also got a bit more feel. Mine had 18" though...
PS2's are definintely the best/. I had them on my much loved 987 with 19'' Carrera's and they preovded amazing grip an feel.
The BMW I replaced it with had Brigestones RE050A's and they were like driving on Tupperware in comparision. I now have an M3 saloon DCT on PS2's and it is nice to be back to sticky grippy rubber. Have you thought about PS3's?
