Updated X5 M LCI (Facelift) Information - Jan 26th 2010
No 8-speed automatic transmission, still the good "old" 6-speed automatic.
Design-wise, the front part stays practically the same, only the rear lights get the LED "tubes" from the 5/7 series but the shape stays the same.
New options available:
- Video camera with side view which shows the left/right front part of the car (til now we have the rear view camera and top view). German price: 420 EUR incl. 19% VAT
- Speed limit info: it "reads" the speed limit signs and warns the driver in the HUD or the speedo cluster. German price: 320 EUR incl. 19% VAT
DVD rear entertainment system stays the same too with the display in the middle (there have been rumors that BMW changes it to two seperate displays behind the front seats).
To make it short: nothing really changes for the X5 M, just the side view camera and the speed limit info function would have been cool to have.
I guess this is GOOD NEWS for all current X5 M owners.
