    My X6M update

    my X6M was unloaded from the container a week ago and today was released through customs.....please don't ask and remind me of what i had to pay.

    it is currently being loaded on a truck to be at BMW headquarters tomorrow for pdi.

    then off to registration and plates to be put on.

    hopefully, i will have it by thursday...

    am really excited and looking forward to have this 555hp beast.....

    look forward to my thread with pics and driving impressions. let's se how long i will be able to adhere to the rcommended break-in mileage.....Smiley

    Have you picked up the car yet?  Here is a lousy iPhone picture of mine at the in-law's place.  I haven't taken any decent photo so I can't start my own thread on it.  Lol.

    plates should be slapped on th car sunday and hopefully i will have it monday or tuesday at the latest.

    i am really getting more and more excited by the day.  especially as i have never driven  nor seen one in the flesh so far....

    Thanks all for you congratulations.  I love the colour too.  Initially I wasn't sure as I haven't seen it in person, but when I say the colour combo in person (I have bamboo beige interior) I was very happy.

    RC, I just picked it up this week, haven't had a chance to post it here yet. 

    intouch1, I look forward to write a more complete review once I have had some more wheel time!  Give me a week.  First impression though, is that the exhaust note sux.  We really need M engineers to do something about this, plus maybe some aftermarket goodness.

    Conny, do you find that there is a bit of a lag when you take off?  I wished the throttle response is as pin shart as my C63, but you can't have everything!

    Have you adjusted the MDM/Sport settings ? I found the throttle response to be fantastic on the X6 M I testdrove. Caution: if MDM and Sport aren't active, the traction control is a bitch and delays take off.

    the TC in my 50i was already a major sob......when coming down off a speedbump it took a few seconds until the car would accept throttle input.......

    Hmm, never observed a noticeable response lag. For me the throttle response is as well as at the new 997.2 turbo I testdrove couple of weeks ago. Smiley
    But, like written by RC you have to engage "sportmode on" via the M-button.
    This measure will help the exhaust note too in a remarkable waySmiley
