A majority of the Race will take place in Asia this year. France lost it except if we call Monte Carlo France

Good old Bernie only goes where the money is.

    Re: Kalender 2010 F1

Well actually the new Asian tracks, offer the most fun spectacle wise, are the savest and most enjoyed by drivers also...

I don't see why the western world has to fall behind in everything these days. Transportation infrastructure, building construction, and track developments.

I am attending Canada for sure but i will try to be at the Abu Dhabi one as well in 2010!! Pics and Vids looked amazing.

I wonder how much drivers are ' encouraged ' to be positive about the new tracks.

When there was the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, I remember Buemi talk very positively about it.

Last week, in a much more confidential interview he was asked which are his favourite tracks and the least. Spa and the Japanese track came first ( old tracks)  and, surprisingly, he then said Abu Dhabi and these other new tracks are far less interesting.Smiley

There's been race in America Here:

Integrate in the world championship of Formula 1 in 1959 during the test(event) competed the Sebring International Raceway in Florida, the GP of the United States settled from 1961 and until 1975 on the road plan of Watkins Glen, in the State of New York. From 1976 till 1980, the GP continued to be held in Watkins Glen, but under the naming Grand Prix of the United States is to distinguish him(it) from Grand Prix of the United States the West, organized to Long Beach in California.

Throughout 1980s, of numerous GP of Formula 1 (sometimes until three by season) was held in the United States, but never under the title GP of the United States. The official naming were then GP of the United States is and the West, but also GP of Las Vegas, GP of Detroit and GP of Dallas. It was necessary to wait for 1989 to find a GP of the United States, to Phoenix, in Arizona. But after 1991, Grand Prix of the United States disappeared from the calendar of the world championship

It seems that F1 is not very popular in the United States, outside a relatively small circle of fans, as to make financial sense to all concerned, sponsors, circuit operators, teams and F1 Administration.

There have been many attempts as outlined above, without continuity.

    Re: Kalender 2010 F1

I think it use to be and like all the sport events. There's a phenomen of mode. In the last years the new F1 mode trip or bernie trip, is Asia. More monney, more openmind etc.....

    Re: Kalender 2010 F1

And do not forget this events in 2005 with Ralf Schumacher. This might also be a good reason why no race there anymore.

GP of the United States 2005:

On the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is held a historic running(race) with 6 cars only at first. Following the accident of Ralf Schumacher caused by the failure of a tire during the first trial day, and further to the ban made for Michelin to propose different options, all the teams using tyres(pneumatics) Michelin withdraw at the conclusion of the tour(ballot) of training(formation) and only cars using Bridgestone participate in the running(race), provoking the fury of the spectators.

You are right , that was farcical to say the least.

USA is perhaps the most demanding market in the world and they don't like to see things done in this way.

    Re: Kalender 2010 F1

The fury of the spectators was uge and as well the medias and people watching The race on TV this day. What i don't find correct is that Bernie some how, punished America and not the FIA.

    Re: Kalender 2010 F1

there simply isn't a facility capable of meeting F1 standards. Meaning infrastructure, layout, and geographic location.Indy had the infrastructure, but the layout was boring and Indianapolis is not exactly NYC, LA, or Chicago.

The race has to be in a big metro area that is easy to get to. It needs the hotels and restaurants/clubs to handle the crowd.  The track neds to be a layout for F1 with modern safety run-offs and garages. Even the the tar needs to be right (track dis-integrated in Dallas from heat).

The time of year is important - too hot no good. And the local govt. has to be smart enough to back it 100%

    Montreal was always into it.

I went in 2001 and it was packed with tifosi etc. It didn't hurt that my favorite driver, Mika Hakkinen won the race.
