    no more hesitation

    after many, many trips to the dealer finally got the hesitation and lag to go away on my cayenne turbo (mostly). Prior to the fix the car would hesitate 3-4 seconds before acceleration kicking in. The dealer replaced all the engine coils and now the car responds far more aggressively. Before that I had to manually shift down a gear to pass cars on the highway - now no longer need to do that.

    Well, the hesitaion never has been THAT bad on my Cayenne Turbo. Thanks god.
    I found a pretty interesting solution for reducing hesitation from standstill: fully accelerating but WITHOUT kickdown. There is still a lag but it is much shorter.
    Another possibility: a second before starting off, fully accelerating for a fraction of a second only (fully pressing down throttle and letting it go very very fast) and then pressing the throttle pedal again but again without kickdown. Works pretty well too.

    But none of these methods comes even close to the instant acceleration from standstill of my wife's Boxster S with Tiptronic and Sport Chrono.

    RC, in the US they cannot keep up with demand for the pencil coils. Nothing shows up in PIWIS logs but misfiring results from very small cracks. But it does NOT cure the S hesitation, I had both happen together. I have new coil 2 days ago and the other is still there although masked by a PIWIS eGas reset.
