I wonder how much weight would they save if there was a pcm + speakers delete
1,2xx kg would be a dream come true
There is... aircon and stereo delete as a no-cost option. In combination with lightweight battery and PCCB, that should bring it close to 1300 kg flat.

Race bucket seats instead of the (standard) GT2 foldable seats shave off another 10 kg or so...Halogen headlamps another 5 kg.....strict diet over the winter...10 kg
And of course....decals delete...another 50 g

Is Paint to Sample going to be available on the RS as is on the GT3?
Apparently, the feedback from Germany is that the RS will be available to order in "other colors" after the initial three-month production run...
...you can also order the new GT3 RS without the decals!
interesting...
there is now the grand total of zero sound-deadening
Internally, the engine is identical to the regular GT3’s, but a new intake system with shorter runners, a larger plenum and one hilarious gaping-mouth of an entrance below the rear wing are said to produce a ram-air effect that helps release an extra 15bhp, lifting peak power to 444bhp.
with the better intake we have had to fit a revised, titanium exhaust. With the Sport button engaged and the valves open, it’s now louder than the Cup car.’
the engine note doesn’t subside quite as much as you’d expect after each upshift.(as on 997 gt2, a cheat for continue boost with manual gearbox .So now problem for faster shifting as with pdk ;) )
They’re expecting something like a 5sec advantage at the Ring.
it sounds expensive for the battery!!
What is meant by the bold text below - is it a UK track reg/rule?:
We’ve gone very aggressive on the ignition timing,’ says Preuninger, ‘and with the better intake we have had to fit a revised, titanium exhaust. With the Sport button engaged and the valves open, it’s now louder than the Cup car.’
Hardly music to the ears of UK trackday goers, but Porsche acknowledges this specific problem and is working on a solution. More on that when we hear it.
and i thought it was 450bhp, not 444.
