AUDI R7 Concept Study - based on Panamera

Although they're all CGI, it looks bad ass Smiley .

We don't know if the VW Group's takeover of Porsche will eventually lead to a Panamera spin-off, but if Audi does gets the green light to develop such a model, Gabriel Rhabi's R7 design study would be a really great point to start from. The French artist has captured the essence of the brand's design DNA creating a sporty four-door sedan that is clearly recognizable as an Audi yet refreshing in a first-generation TT sort of way.

Maybe even more importantly, Rhabi avoided any concept-style gimmicks as the design is totally acceptable for a production version.

This isn't the first time we've hosted a conceptual proposal from the talented French designer who has a thing for the brand with the four rings. You'll be surprised to know that, despite the amazing quality of his work, Rhabi isn't a professional car designer but a CGI artist, video game and graphical software programmer with a passion for anything on four-wheels.

So much nicer than the Panamera... A little bit of AM in the rear, a little bit of BMW on the sides and pure Audi front...

Put the v12 diesel 500hp and it will sell like hotcakes in europe.

I don't like the little 3rd window on the car and C its pillar. New sportback made the next step in that regard, I hope their A7,R7, does the same... Or this will liik just like a shorter tuned A6, IMO

It depends on the price tag. For under 90000 EUR and with 4WD...definetely YES.

not very successful and not really capturing the Audi DNA when the front is already outdated. The new grille will go back together in the top section.

What seperates this from the brand new Sportback?

Audi's been making some pretty spectacular cars over the last years. However, I am a little bit fed up with the gianormous front grille and the overly aggressive headlights with the in your face application of LEDs galore...

That, together with the fact that most audi drivers in the netherlands seem to be sales representatives with lease cars (read: they don't give a sh*t about being carefull with their cars) that like to drive "sporty" (read: aggressive with no hindsight on the effect they have on the rest of the traffic)... makes me not really desire the cars, as I don't want to be associated with those kind of people...

+1 Experienced this when i lived in the Netherlands.. never knew what they were though.

Over here in Vancouver, Audi seems to be really popular with Asians and they have good numbers in Asia in general.

I think Audi is doing an amazing job in recent times. I like the new A5 and the Sportback as well as R8 V10. Two thumbs up Smiley Smiley
