Would like to see real pics of 458 black daytona with dark/grey original wheels and red callipers... too hard to find....
SOMEONE POST SOME PICS PLEASE......
Trust me when i tell you that 90% of black /italias comes with yellow Callipers

It looks like Grigio Alloy. Nice color in pictures but in person very feminine. I believe Azzuro is a tad darker.
+1
I think so.

Doing it in the next 40 minutes or so. Toying with bi-colour Giallo Triplo Strato with a Satin Black roof but not sure what resale would be like in the unadventurous UK. I'll be changing the berlinetta for a spider so only keeping the car for 12 months maximum.

Good luck!
Agonising - I know - I'm going to my dealer on Friday to drive a California (ref : disussion on other thread) as a filler till my 458 arrives in Nov/ Dec so I won't spec mine till July at the earliest. I'm told there is a 6 week delay from the original plan at the factory for UK cars - are you hearing the same?
No, not been advised of any delays. Mine's a July build but may get pushed back if I go for Giallo T S as they paint them in batches and it depends how many orders they have for the colour at that point. I won't be putting it on the road 'til September 1st anyway so should still be on target for that date.

Stradale, I see you went with a two tone interior for your 430, and it looks good. Will you be doing the same with a 458? It's very hard to find ferrari's with a two tone interior.
Ferrari wouldn't offer it as non custom/regular option if they felt it looked bad.....

thanks for your comments, though i'm not sure about ferrari not offering what someone wanted.
this looks just wrong.
That looks really bad. But you'd really have to have bad taste to like that combo.
Of course if someone picks grey & red interior on a yellow car it's not going to look right. But it didn't take the dual color to make that car look bad, just grey interior on a yellow car doesn't look right. But you're right. I should have clarified - I meant offering the red & black dual color scheme like on the Challenge Stradale.

ISUK:
The online configurator at Ferrari.com has been updated and now includes all options including seats, wheels, bicolour etc
Thanks ISUK. You have been a treasure trove of timely information over the last few months.
As ex Brit glmpses of English gardens and countryside in your photos always makes me a little homesick !
I got my order in with a MODIS delivery of 06/11/2010. USA MY 2010. Rosso Corsa with Cuoio interior, RICS with alloy calipers, PEXS and ELEV etc. Still unsure if SHF1 includes leather/metal inner door sills (interior door kick). This shows in configurator but not on production photos.
For US orders folks should note that Homelink is in MIH2 and Bluetooth is in NAVC
My order has gone through. Went with the following -
Ferrari 458 ITALIA
RACING & TRACK
RSCH - Racing seats In Carbon Fiber
EXTERIOR & COLOURS
LOGO - Scuderia Ferrari shields on fenders
PEXS - Sport sill cover
INTERIOR & MATERIALS
RPMY - Yellow Rev Counter
UALZ - Alcantara upholstery for upper zone – Nero
ARMC - Alcantara upholstery for armrest – Nero
ALIC - Alcantara interior carpet – Nero
STC1 - Colour upon request for standard stitching – Bianco
DAAL - Dual colour interior in leather & alcantara - Nero/Nero
EQUIPMENT & TRAVELLING
MIR2 - Interior & exterior electrochromatic rear view mirrors
TPM0 - Tyre pressure + temperature monitoring system
PAR2 - Rear & front parking sensors
IPOD - iPod Connection
NAVC - Satellite Navigation system
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
Out of range colour upon request - Giallo Triplo Strato
20" Sport rims painted in grey 356/C3
Aluminium Steering Wheel with LEDs
9Eleven,
I asked about the leather door sill finishers at the Atelier but they aren't available as yet I was told. That's why I went with ALIC as the alcantara carpet looks more "finished" if you know what I mean as opposed to the standard carpet on the sills. I hope I haven't made an expensive boob on that one

Good move and cover the driver's side pedal area in fitted tech rubber "carpets" to avoid the English summer downpours !!
Sweet...
Can I ask, what should $ticker be about? I'd probably go similar in terms of options. I got a call a week or so back from my dealer wanting to know if I wanted one. Can't decide what to do, one day I want to wait for the Spider, the next I want to hold onto my 430, then I can't wait for the Scud/Stra version of the car which will probably be INSANE but so far away.. Congrats again on the order, nothing is like creating your own personal Ferrari & then seeing, driving it for the first time.

I stayed away from the carbon as it is very expensive. I'd possibly have taken it on a Rosso Corsa car but decided to spend the money on the new metallic yellow as it looks very striking. The final cost incl our 17.5% VAT and on the road costs is around £206k GBP
I decided to go Triplo Strato on this car as I'm convinced the spider is going to be at least £20k more than the base price of the coupe. It has to be in that area pricewise or sales of the coupe will tumble off a cliff as the spider is going to have a folding hardtop. Based on that likely high starting price I think adding an out of range colour to the spider will be money down the drain whereas on a coupe I intend to sell within 12 months of ownership I should see my money back. I plan to switch out of the coupe into a spider and then into a 458 Scud variant.

Me 2, i'm getting a coupe now and i'm planing to trade in when the spider comes out. I think you should minimize the options on the coupe so you don't loose a lot when you trade in.
Great specc Iain, the car will look fantastic.
I'm sure the aluminium will look great, as you chose an all black interior. CF looks great with the two colour interior, e.g. if you choose nero and rosso. The silver of the aluminium would be just too much then. But if you have only black, no matter if leather or leather/alcantara as in your car, the aluminium gives a nice touch.
BTW did you notice, they've changed the colour arrangement of the two tone leather: with nero as main and rosso as secondary colour you now get seats like those in Gregg's F430. So I guess it was only a mistake of the configurator before.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
ISUK:
I had an unofficial nod that it would Nick and the patent office application supports this.
There is also another interesting new Ferrari model due shortly but I can't reveal what it is yet
A possible Enzo replacement is not just "another interesting new Ferrari model" if that's what you are insinuating...
