First pic I've seen of option DATR dash inserts in carbon fibre. I think I prefer the standard aluminium finish.
Wow i really like this ! It probably looks better on lighter leathers rather than on black.
+1
I'm not going for the carbon either Dimitri. The cost is just ridiculous and I prefer the look of the aluminium as well. I'll wait for the 458 Scuderia version before having carbon. I've asked about getting an LED steering wheel with the aluminium centre hub to match the rest of the interior. Thus far they want to charge me as though it's a full carbon wheel AND add a further charge on top to have the aluminium I encountered the same issue when requesting single colour seats on a bi-colour interior.

Wheel choices....
Standard - silver finish
Standard - RICS painted chrome finish
Sports wheel - silver finsh
Sports wheel - Grigio Opaco finish
Sports wheel - Diamond finish
Why did Ferrari displayed a car with Sport wheels and RICS at their world presentation (the Rosso Fuoco car) if it is not available then?

That's just stupid, isn't it?
Regarding the CF-interior: I don't really like it. It doesn't save weight, in a black interior the car will be just too black, I like the aluminium parts and CF costs too much. Perhaps CF will look better in a interior different to black, but then I think the 458's interior simply looks best in black. It's so modern, a black or dark grey just fits best IMO.

Hi guys, waht about the power of the standard Hi-Fi System?
And what about the Premium System instead?
It's very strange that in the Ferrari website nothing about it.......
Personally I hardly use the stereo in a Ferrari and if I do so, I mostly listen to a new station. The JBL (hopefully) will sound great, but I just don't need it. Same as in a Porsche, I would only go with Bose, if it comes as standard as in a Turbo for example (and I don't hear much difference between standard and Bose BTW).
Perhaps it depends what you are used from your music system at home. If you have high class hifi gear, nothing in a car comes close, so there's no need to spend money in a hifi-upgrade, you will never achieve, what you already got at home, no matter how much money you spend.

yes u r right, it cost too much and on a black interior its just too black. the only carbon parts i have is the LEDS steering wheel, the sport seats and i ended up adding the central bridge because the aluminum at that location will be scratched in no time, its very delicate.
the pricing policy for special orders is just sick..

Years ago I upgraded the sound system in my 360 Spider. I spent close to $6000 for the state of the art sound. Without a doubt it is the worst $6000 I have ever spent. The system was great but in a Ferrari it is like have a freezer in an igloo.
After that experience each time I ordered a Ferrari my salesperson tried to persuade me to include the premium sound system and my response was always the same. HELL NO!

Kreso,
It's a mid-engined Ferrari not an Audighini........ all shades of grey should be banned on this car
So, only some version of Rosso or Giallo for 458?
Hmm... I do not think so...
Personally, I understand people who are ordering Rosso Ferrari because of its heritage. Just, heritage is in this case IMO part of the history, not present or future...
