    Ferrari has not announce the price of the

     458.

    Is there a limit as to how much you're willing to pay for the car? I believe $225,000 -230,000 is reasonable. $250,000 is high and would cause me to rethink the purchase. 

    Thoughts?

    I think even you're figure of $250,000 will be optimistic Nick. This car is set to be priced above the Cali and not far off the Scuderia from what I can gather. The spider will be even more $ss to distance it from it's front engined V8 stablemate in the range.

    I dont think there will be a spider version anytime soon and the price will be a little less than Scuderia

    If they price the car too high they kill the resale market and Ferrari dealers get a large portion of their income from that market.

    The Spider is probably going to be introduced in 2011.

    Base 250k, most cars at 275k, spider 15k higher...

    They have to create a gap with the California GT.

    Also don't forget the V12 prices are much higher now also, leaving room for the 458.

    I suspect the base will be between $250-275k, as Ferrari will want to price and position the 458 well above the California.
