Oh, and have you ever considered designing aftermarket body kits?
You really should. Especially if you know how to design in Solid Works or any other kind of Industrial Design software.
+1 !! in my honest opinion you would be an authority in aftermarket or tunning if you could get some of your designs on a more solid presentation. maybe start off with a couple 3D works.
Thanks a lot gents’!
Truthfully, the thought of creating aftermarket kits has crossed my mind before, but I haven't really elaborated much in that area.
As a designer, my goal is to leave a mark creating something fresh, something that will attract and reach out to people; even those that are not car enthusiasts. Many of you here may recall the early days of when I started out doing chops to existing cars with the assistance of fellow peers and wonderful rennteam community. Cheers to that!
Recently, I've been so caught up in sharpening my skills in Photoshop that I haven't really had much time to branch off into anything technical like 3D design. It’s definitely something I am looking forward to taking up in the near future.
For those who enjoy mods, last fall I've had the honour of taking part in, and winning, an Italian automotive design completion (Berman S.P.A. "autostyle") primarily based on the development of high-end aftermarket body kits for a variety of European automotive brands; mine being the Maserati GranTurismo. (Attached below)
Once again, cheers to all for the awesome feedback!
