If you have PASM Sport, you already have the 20mm drop from non PASM.
PASM 10mm (not PASM Sport) comes standard on your car......it's not height adjustable......if you want to drop PASM while maitaining PASM function, change over to Damptronics (at least that's one solution).
You can easily drop a PASM (10mm) car another 20mm w/Damptronics.....or where-ever you want it to be.
It's a pretty good fit......& needless to say the upside of coilovers is full controle of height, rake, corner balance.
so GreggT , my car has lower 10mm already? and I can lower another 10mm? i didn't get the solution. my car seems higher than any other carreras . i know that carrera non S are higher and the S are 10mm lower, so maybe after riding it for a while it will drop slightly but what i need is the look of the 20mm lower IMO it will look better.. right now I have the botton to soften or stiffin the ride , am i going to loose this option if i lower my car? and will it effect the balance ?

Thats not quite right!
As you state your car has PDK therefore it must be gen2... So :
Carrera
Fitted with standard suspension 0mm
optional PASM with -10mm OR optional PASM with -20mm and LSD (both at additional cost)
Carrera S
Fitted with PASM with -10mm
optional PASM with -20mm and LSD (at additional cost)
Carrera 4
Fitted with standard suspension 0mm
Also always fitted with LSD
optional PASM with -10mm OR optional PASM with -20mm and LSD (both at additional cost)
Carrera 4S
Fitted with PASM with -10mm
Also always fitted with LSD
optional PASM with -20mm and LSD (no cost option)
So as you can see your car could have had the -20 PASM with LSD as a no cost option at factory build, so it may or may not already have it. In effect your car is either already -10mm or -20mm.
Ive no idea on the practicalities of changing to -20mm if you didnt tick the option at the factory but jsut wanted to correct the above re what a C4S comes with.
Adam is correct........and a small detail is that C4S Cabs can not be ordered with PASM Sport option in N.America.
Are we still confused?
O.K....if you have a 997.2 C4S you definately (at least) have the $2000. PASM (10mm drop) as any 'S' has, at least that, included.
That 10mm drop is still 'way up in the air' and IMO the NA cars with PASM are higher than ROW......and look rediculous (no offence).
Anyway....assuming you have a coupe....unless you have the $1000. PASM Sport option......then all you have is PASM (10mm).
My point was.......even a N.American car that has PASM (10mm) can easily be dropped another 20mm using Bilstien Damptronics.
I know it sounds like a shame to rip out brand new struts/shoucks, re-set height/rake, corner balance, align, etc.....but the end-result does get you where you want to go (and the upside is the system is fully adjustable and at least as good as OE).
Sorry for the poor pic but here is an example.
Bilstien Damptronics.
I've used primarily H&R in the past but this Bilstien set-up seems to be a good match for the 09 PASM....others have commented same.
No problems with install.
Plenty of room to adjust height to whatever you are after.

That is a very nice looking car Gregg!
Thanks......it's wife's (anniversary present).......many cosmetic mods w/goal of it being a 'pretty' car....nothing more.
BTW.....it's a C4S & one of the 20 'cosmetics' was dealing with the rear red reflector

Lucky wife!
Lets have more pictures...if possible.
andrea:
awesome pics!congrats! only a question: I know these exhaust-pipes are carrera 4 style.... so do you have a carrera 4 or did you mod exhaust-pipes on carrera 4S?
Yes.......the regular tips were ordered and awaiting the car along with all the boxes of other stuff.
The quadtips that came w/the car were sold to a lister........allthough I had offered them free to anyone who also wanted to swap reg C2 deck lid........but now I'm actually warming up to the painted rear reflector........I don't think that additional horizontal line looks out of place.....and possibly helps to 'bust-up' that area, and reinforce the horizontal profile (better than a red plastic strip ).

ok
Gregg,
that´s a very nice combination. How come you didn´t post it up here before?
The camera´s setting might be misleading but it looks as if you ordered a custom colour scheme? The dismissal of red reflector strip looks good, did you replace or overpaint the element?
Ferdie......thanks.
I've not shared it on any boards or added it to my site since she has been a work in progress up to now......deposit was down almost 2 yrs ago, delivered end of last yr.....but still has only 700 miles and wife will only start driving next week. The 1st couple months she popped back-n-forth between tuner & body shop. The 'end-game' was just "a pretty car" for Janice......nothing tough or mean....just pretty.
I'll throw together a list of all the boring details but the last that was a 'bugger'....was getting the wheel color (and finish) right.......no matter how good you're imagination and P.Shop skills are, there's no substitute for just mounting tires-spin up-mount on car......and stand back to observe if this was what you were after.
Nuf said but....this is the 3rd color on this set of TechArt GTS.
As most are aware GTS gome black with the machined outer lip (cleared).

Funny enough, you changed all elements I´d be inclined to modify as well. The only part left´d be the mirrors that I would, if registration permits, change for the Mk.1 sized examples.
It certainly is a difficult task to find a solution that works well with the chosen body colour, since silver´d look to bland, black to bold judging the subtle taste displayed on that car. I find a titanium finish, assumedly with a satin finish, to be one of the best solutions.
my dealer refused my choice to remove the whole suspension and install a new sport suspension 20mm lower on my cost , I think i have the right to do so and to keep warranty , but they told me it's impossible !
have anyone heard of a new solution for pasm to lower the car another 10mm at least without effecting warranty?
My dealer offered to order the ROW PASM Sport suspension parts, and do complete change-over on my car......I opted for the Damptronics instead because I wanted the adjustability and had confidence in the quality of the Bilstiens set-up.
Price either way would have been fairly close when all was said & done.
