Oh my, that is utterly spectacular. I am salivating and probably will not stop doing so until it is in my hands.
You're going to wait for the Spider? That's going to be a killer wait especially Ferrari-less.

Gentlemen, will there really be a 458 Spider? I mean now Ferrari's got the California, a car which will suit 80% of the current Spider customers (Nick emphatically excluded). I think the 458 could come as a GTS with retractable folding segmental hardtop instead.
I asked that here before, but has anybody the technical drawing of this particular hardtop I 'm talking about on his PC? I'm sure it was posted here before.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
No, depending on the situation at the dealership, I will order a coupe and turn it in for a Spider assuming there is one. Regarding the Spider, Ferrari has gone to great lengths to emphasis that the California is targeting a totally different market than the 430. I am assuming they will built a 458 Spider because without one they will be giving up a huge market they dominant now.

Good plan.
Agree, the Spider market has always been very strong. And think the 458 will make for a better looking Spider than the 430.

You are right-according to my source chances for 458 Italia Spider are very, very slim.

Ferrari would commit financial insanity by not building a 458 Spider. They have always had a mid-engine Spider. Though there may be technical difficulties, I am sure they will find a way to build one.
Despite all the reports that the CA GT is sold out for two years, I still believe that is nothing more than Ferrari propaganda in an attempt to generate interest in the car. If one accepts this premise, then it also makes sense for Ferrari to remain mum regarding the possibility of the 458 Spider. They need to sell more CA GT's which have unlimited production.
