I wonder where the naming is going to go next since they have now used Maranello, Modena and Italia (in addition to Enzo, Dino and Scuderia).
So what's next, Europe, EU, World (Mondo in italian)...
i think they already did that with the Mondial
Interesting. A 355 front grill and an Enzo rear. It is a nice looking car certainly worthy of the Ferrari image. I wonder what the Spider would look like.
Sales probably will not begin in the US until next spring. Hopefully it will be much sooner.

A thing I have noticed, it doesn't have any side scoops to enhance engine cooling.
Yes it has, there are airducts between the side window and the c-pillar.
If so, I think that is intake air for combustion, rather than cooling air.

For the first time in quite a long time, a new model from Ferrari seems to have a warm welcome, design wise. I can't recall observing such enthousiasm since what, the 355, 360 maybe ?
Besides, pics usually don't do justice at all. Take into consideration the first pics of the California, the Panamera, the 612, or even the 430. All these models looks better in "real life" pictures. And most of them (California excluded) look great in the flesh, at least compared to official pics.
So, if the Italia already looks good in pictures, guess what it'll look like in the flesh...

Honestly, I never liked any Ferrari but the F430 Suderia, but this car is one of a masterpiece! It looks fantastic, Automobili Lamborghini will have a hard time selling their products, as LP640 is outdated, LP560-4 is way to comfortable meanwhile and the new "Balboni Edition" is "nice to know, nut not a must to have" (IMHO)...
And Porsche?? The new 997.2 GT3 is a supercar, but they still aren't offering it with PDK, which should be our time a standard equipment, let'swait for the new 997.2 TT and GT2...

The problem is: how useable will it be? We all know Ferraris often look great, but aren't often great to own on an everyday basis.
So maybe this car also shows just how clever Ferrari is at marketing (nothing new there mind): let it be billed a supercar and then no-one expects to be able to run it every day ;-)
This car is a beautiful super luxury object, like a sculpture to ornate a multimillion home and show to the world that its owner has arrived in life.
The fact that you can drive it as well, will be irrelevant to the majority of owners who will cover some 2.500 kms per year on average, mostly around marinas and trendy night spots.
A pity for the technology that went into it.

It's not where you're going, it's how you get there that counts
I have owned three yellow Ferrari's and three red. I don't see this car in Yellow. Just doesn't work. Though Black looks great i agree it hides the features of the car. The other day I saw a black Lambo and initially could not tell what the car was. The color hide the lines.

Silver shows the lines very well...

You've also told us so many times that you can't tell a 997 from a New Beetle.
Well, they are close in front end styling. I wonder how much closer they will look now that the same company produces both models.
