as always first hand info and pictures. I bet it will look stunning when it is revealed. I love Audi's creativity with LEDs unlike Mercedes.

its hard to say, but the lines look same as the old/current model.
I hope its not gonna be another facelift-like design.... I would like to see a compleatly new A8 design, nothing conservative. Not a A4/A6/oldA8 mix.
Something that would look better then the current 7 Series, which is by far the best looking Limo out there.

Let me put it this way-if you like current Audi cars like R8, A5 Coupe and A5 Sportsback you will love new A8. It is not radical design-buyers in this class are not that kind of people.
So another Audi design that will lose its freshness very soon!

I saw a magazine yesterday with a comparison story of merc 550, bmw 7, and audi A8.
The A8 wins that comparison, it is the most impressive of the 3 design wise, especially the interior.
Audi designs (saloons and hatchbacks and their derivatives) are pretty and neat but they don't differentiate much between models and model years and consequently after a while they lose their freshness.
Also for me they don't generate any emotion. Like a pretty woman who doesn't attract.

Fair enough on the emotion side for you in particular,
But if a car looks good, why should it ever change (lookswise) - take my 928 for example. Never changed the interior over the 18 year run, why change perfection, one change to the exterior (1987) and sales fell.

I see your point and I would concur in the case of an individual model like the 928 or the 911or the Audi the R8 and TT or the Mercedes SL.
However, in the case of Audi all their cars except the R8 and the TT series look almost the same between them and little different than they looked 2 models ago.

The Audi still has the understatement factor. Only a test drive will indicate whether the Audi can get close to the Panamera in terms of driving dynamics
I don't believe so. Panamera Turbo was designed from ground up to be a very high performance GT, whereas A8 would be designed as a limo first over and above anything else. However if Audi has a RS8 up their sleeve, then maybe Panamera will have a fight in it's hand.
