My 993TT "Stage 2" Protomotive tune
With all the unsettling Porsche news, I thought I would cheer us up by posting the latest pics of my 993TT, tuned by Protosport in New Jersey (USA) using Protomotive hardware, now around 680HP on pump (93 octane) and 700+ on race (100 octane). John Gulino and Paul Faeta of Protosport were their usual professional selves with high quality custom work. The engine now has bigger Garrett GT3076R turbo's with Tial wastegates, but the first fueling upgrade last year with one Bosch 993 RSR fuel pump went lean during tuning at high boost, so they mated two fuel pumps in parallel, and successfully tuned it to 1.35 bar boost on pump, 1.50 bar on race fuel. Now with the bigger turbo's making that much boost and flowing that much air, the car literally LAUNCHES between 5,000 and 7,000 rpm's without running out of power right up to the 7,250 rpm revline.
We also did a hybrid brake kit to upgrade from the stock "Big Red's," using 14" Brembo steel slotted rotors up front, cross-drilled in back, with Brembo 4-piston calipers up front and Porsche 993 RSR calipers in back-covered with the Porsche "Big Red" caliper covers to keep it factory looking.
I have cashmere leather Recaro sport seats on order, but for the track, I am using Recaro's 993 race seats with Schroth 6-point harnesses and a harness bar.
And man, does this car haul a--!
