California arrives in Australia !

It occurred on one of the few good roads near Perth, popular at weekends.
The new laws allow police to impound the car for seven days of anyone driving "recklessly" ( the "hoon" laws). Second and subsequent offences lead to 28 days impounding - repeat offenders can have their cars permanently seized or crushed.
Notable that there are 200 Californias on order for the country, not bad for a small country during a recession. Hopefully they don't get crushed....
