Mclaren is much better looking, probably better sounding especially inside and gets its' power NA, which to me is much better.
The driving position of the Mclaren while grerat for fun driving makes it awkward for having passengers i would think. I posted a thread in OT of a video of the mclaren recently bought by a guy i know.
Since the F1 wins 0-150. I would say it is the best hypercar ever! (well until we see more of the one77)
thanks for posting.

McLaren F1 is the best in history, most revolutionary, authentic manual-RWD-lightweight hypercar with no fancy gysmos, with a true racing pedrigree, and after 15 years bone stock without any upgrades/updates still owned the Veyron in the 0-150 (most comon realworld speeds)... no wonder its worth two the Veyrons.
I always loved this picture (insert any sportcar at eather side)

Carlos the best pic would be an F1 flanked by a CGT and a Zonda. (the 3 top as of now imo) and maybe soon a 0ne-77 .
But seeing the above video got me looking at others and here is a great vid as it is funny also;
And at the end of the video the CGT surrounded by all the other top cars looks the best and sounds the best! (who knows if the one-77 will out do it)

Completely agree with you on both counts

I am more impressed by the fact that the Bugatti beat the F1 however it was clearly NOT in "Top Speed" mode. The one that requires the second key be installed so it can do it's 254 mph magic run.
You know this because in Top Speed mode, the spoiler doesn't deploy and the car lowers itself by about 3 inches. There are also some internal baffles and venturi tunnels that close themselves off with automatic blocking plates which you cannot see.
...the only thing stopping you in all likelihood, is you!

pretty obvious he messed up the launch in the Veyron. at no point should the veyron have fallen behind. its quicker to every single speed increment . even a euro spec F1 is about a second slower in the 1/4 mile.
+1
anyone have the official figures of the f1?

If the numbers bellow are true, then there is something wrong in this video:
0-60 F1 3.2s Veyron 2.5s
0-100 F1 6.3s Veyron 5.5s
0-150 F1 12.8s Veyron 11.3s
0-200 F1 28.0s Veyron 22.2s
The Veyron should be far, far ahead of the F1 all the way from 0 to the end. But let's not forget that this is Top Gear.

F1 LM version has 0-60 2.9 and 0-100 5.9
but I do not know about published numbers, real world is the proof and we all see what happened, if they had doubts they should have done multiple runs switching drivers.
But what does it matter, can your body distinguish tenths of a second.
They are fast cars, but it boils down to looks and here the mclaren wins easy but in the hypercar arena the CGT is king with one77, SL 65 black, zonda, and mclaren fighting for 2nd and koeniggsegg, saleen and veyron in a battle to avoid last spot. and booby prizes goes to the SLR and enzo.

according to the article in the TG Mag, the BV did not use launch control and there was serious turbo lag with the veyron due to the intense heat and humidity.
One also has to bear in mind that TG is a tv show after all and they have to try and make it look as exciting as possible. Where would the fun be if the BV was in the lead from the word go!?
