Three things on this pic. are interesting / indicative :
1. Crossed intake plenum - what for if not for two stage turbo charging ( ref. patent application doc. ) where both banks of cylinders can be fed with one turbine or each bank with it's own turbine .
2. Encircled device - looks like ' Hydraulic waste gate controler '
3. Those two shafts - for modulating waste gate valves ??
Back on that video clip with yellow mule - that engine sound is 100% turbo ( forced induction ) like
According the the Czech translation, it reads:
"The work on Ferrari F430 successor continues. Here You can find the fourth part of new unique photos in gallery. New photos came from Italy and shows F142 engine ...... no turbo, no KERS....
Stay tuned ..."
...the only thing stopping you in all likelihood, is you!

Some new pics from www.czechferrari.cz
You can clearly see the new air inlet for the engine, replacing the air duct above the rear fender of the 360 and 430:
And some more photos concerning rear lid, fuel inlet, exhaust and rear with the two prominent rear lights à la 599 and California.

Thanks Stefan!!!!!! Wow, really interesting shots.
Any speculation on why the weird color? I know it's not important just curious.
So obviously the gas goes to the other side, slight inconvenience for US cars but no biggy. Or will this be dependent on the destination country? Anyway, probable single rear light unless there will be more in the rear panel.
You really think that could mean turbo charged? Why cant you see the mufflers on the back of the car in the last shot?

Gregg, Ferrari always uses this colour for their crash test cars. Don't know why this kind of blue, but nearly all the cars that will be crashed are painted this way. IMO the pics show a car after they've done those kind of test, just look at the gaps between some panels.
Concerning the fuel inlet, in fact this is the side where most of the European cars have it. I didn't realise, that it is the other way round in the US, well I guess I should drive more American cars.
Single rear lights seem to be a fact, so far they look quite good, but let's wait for the final result.
But I'm not sure if you can tell from the exhaust if the car will be turbocharged or NA.

It is always strange to see Ferraris being winter tested in snow... how many potential F142 buyers will be asking about the snow tire options?
Present: 2005 STi, 2002 M Coupe
Future: 2009 Cayman S - pending; 2010? Audi RS5 ??

I think the sillboards will end up like some aero-wings on the F1 cars. Check again that black car which is un-camoed and get pulled up on the trailer!
Err Lars, how can you tell?
I think there's still camouflage above the side sills of the black mule.

Winter testing has a lot more to do with how a car starts, runs and operates, including tuning of ABS and ESP control parameters, and not just testing of snow tires.
