cdixon road trip to Leipzig
Had a great time last weekend. I drove from the UK to Leipzig to take part in the two day Precision Sport Driving Course.
I set off from the UK at 03:30 0n Thursday 28th May and headed towards Hamburg to meet my cousin who also has a 911 and was taking the course. I arrived in Hamburg at 16:30 in the afternoon.
After spending the night in Hamburg we set off early on the Friday morning towards Leipzig, stopping off at the VW factory in Wolfsburg. Had a good look around the VW plant (where we watched the Golf being produced) and local VW Museum. In the evening we drove onto Leipzig and stayed the night in a city centre hotel before starting the course at 07:45 on Saturday morning.
The course was an action packed weekend, giving me the chance to see m first customer Gen 2 GT3, and Panameras being Pre-delivery tested on the Leipzig circuit before shipping. I also got a factory tour with a chance to see the Cayenne and Panamera construction.
I drove back to the UK on Monday Morning (Left Leipzig at 10:00), and arrived home at 20:00.
