It's not where you're going, it's how you get there that counts

but the interesting thing is that is NOT what Porsche's PR on their wesite says!
Here is the actual quote:
"For its market introduction on September 12 in Germany, the Gran Turismo will initially be launched in 3 variations that will be equipped with a 400-hp V8 induction engine or with a V8 biturbo engine with 500 hp. Porsche is planning to sell an average of around 20,000 units of the Panamera over the entire lifecycle."

I still don't see who will buy this car. You don't drive children around like an F1 driver, so the performance is useless. All other high-end sedans look much better.
I only see novelty and and maybe viral marketing helping. IOW some alpha celeb/cultural figure owning one and starting a trend.

In traditional Europe and USA sales are expected to be normal IMO.
But I expect the car to be very popular in eastern europe and Russia in particular, and in Asia. It will open up a whole new market for Porsche there.
The Panamea will become a great success.
Guys - we are ahead of the next bull phase, big cars will be fashy again from next year on. The Pan will be the car to have, wait and see! Even myself, I still struggle with the rear view, but overall the car is great. And if Walter Röhrls words are true and the car really behaves like a 911 it is a no brainer getting one!
