CloseNext week I am going to a track day in France. I have the possibility to mount Michelin Cups on my car but they come on the Gt3 rims, whcih are weider.
Do you think I would need to redu the set up of the chassis ? ( camber and so on )
How would you think it will affect the handling ?
Not much help I'm afraid but the 305's do fit on the standard rear wheels with a 67mm offset. If the GT3 offset is the same on both the front and rear then they woulkd fit fine.
I've seen a few C2S's on the track with 305 x 30 x 19 Cups on the standard rear C2S wheels.
I don't think you need to change camber etc and from what I've been told the handling isn't noticeable from standard, apart from the obvious grip advantage that is.

Check out www.carnewal.com they offer both the Porsche original GT3 wheels for EUR 4095 or aftermarket GT3 wheels for ca. EUR 1220.
Also www.design911.co.uk seem to offer aftermarket GT3 wheels for ca. EUR 1030.

Anne, how much of a difference to you feel with the cups ? Really worth it ? Before I drove on track with the Michelin pilot sport but after a few laps it was like I had soap under my tyres... none less still had plenty of fun

I don´t have Cups on them Gnil. I have something called Pirelli PZero Corsa System. Porsche sometimes delivers their GT2s and GT3s on these. Some people say that they are equivalant/corresponding to the Cups, but I have also heard some say they are something in between the Cups and the Michelin pilot sport. I would really like to know myself.
I have never driven on Cups myself so I cant compare the Corsas to them. Before the Corsas I had Michelin pilot sport on. The Corsas are more slippery when cold, but they get warm quickly, and then the grip is much better on the Corsas. But its important to let out quite a bit of air when they get warm. Too high airpressure makes them feel all bounzy and all over the place...
I think I will try the Cups the next time I change tires so that I can compare all three of them.

Thanks... The Cups and the Corsas should not be too far apart ! I am looking forward to try, jus thope the weatehr will be dry, as for now the predictions are for rain showers.
