Bought the Kermit R8

Just agreed the deal on the metallic jade green R8 I posted about in an earlier thread. I hope to have it delivered next Tuesday and am really looking forward to it Smiley

I appreciate the colour won't win universal approval but it was the thing that drew me to the car and as it's the only one in this colour in the UK I'm pleased to own something a bit more daring than the regular white, black, silver, grey and blue cars. Time will tell resale wise if it was a smart move but I've never had issues in the past selling cars that are different to the norm Smiley

Thanks Lars. I didn't know anything about R8 spec's and thought I'd got a good deal. I've just had a copy of the current price list sent to me and discovered this car is loaded with options and realised I've got an astounding deal on it Smiley Smiley That's a first with a sports car for me Smiley

Rossi,

I drove it for a second time on Wednesday after driving to the dealer in my Scuderia. It still felt surprisingly quick even after driving the 430S somewhat enthusiastically for the 45 minute ride there which was encouraging Smiley

I've got a long way to go to catch up with you Mike (and no realistic hope of doing so either Smiley ). In any case I've been told "not to buy any more cars!" by the other half but I'm pretty sure she'll love driving this one Smiley I have agreed to keep my cheque book away from car dealerships for a while....... or at least until the F450 and GranTurismo convertible arrive at any rate Smiley

The R8 is quite a common sight here in London, so I find your choice of colour to be splendid and gives the car a more exotic look than the average silver coloured R8 parked at a Tesco.

At first the mention of green as the choice I would of thought you were crazy but actually looking at the pictures its not bad, it seems to fit with the R8's exotic lines, and looks very elegant. And being so rare makes it stand out. Congrats
