    well Porsche fit Bilstein from factory so I guess the lifting system is the one Bilstein developed for Cargraphic -AirLift. It is retro-fittable to my B16 Damptronics so I don't see why not for a stock GT2

    Thanks, Enzo911.  Those pictures of the different colors are so sweeeet!!!.  I like the black.  The white and the yellow don't look too bad either.

    Not sure about the new steering wheel - is it the 997.2 PDK wheel without the puddles??  Seems bulkier than the old sport wheel... likely need to see it in person.

    PDK wheel is not that bulky as it may seem. Only thing that bothers me is the high amount of plastic, especially visible in the middle spoke. Smiley

    If I´m not wrong, this new GT3 comes with the GT1 engine block, upgraded to 3.8l (3797cc), completely different to the 3.8l (3800cc) direct inyection engine from the CarreraS. Is it right?

     CarreraS = 102x77,5mm & 997GT3/GT2/Turbo= 100x76,4mm

    I mean,  that I couldn´t find yet the new bore and stroke in this new GT3, but the GT1 engine block had to be moved from 100x76,4mm to 102,7x76.4mm... Can anyone verify this??

    If this information is ok, anyone knows ir te incoming Turbo will follow this figures? Displacement and non DFI engine? any ideas?

         If the Turbo will follow the figures of the Gt3 engine it will have NOT the PDK..becouse GT1 block and PDK seems to be NOT compatible.

    Times ago someone here talk with a tester of a TT MK2 ,and the tester tell him he was testing also the pdk,also in some pics of TT MK2,we saw the lower part of the engine and seems not the "shape" of the GT1 block...

    for this reason it seems the new TT will have DFI engine from the 997 MK2..don't know if a 3.6 or a 3.8,with PDK..Smiley

          IF the GT1 engine is too big for the PDK system, than I think the new TT will use the new block with PDK. Because PDK is a "must" for the new TT.

    Now the real question, what about the 997.2 GT2? 3.8 GT1 twin turbo? Just for this car? No way it will use the new block.Smiley

    For me, I just want a 3.8 RS, can't wait to see! Smiley

    For me is easy they will use the GT3 MK2 engine with turbos..so 3.8 GT1 engine,and sure not DFI engine that they will use on the Turbo..

     I think GT3 and GT2 will be the only two cars of the series that will stay with GT1 block also in the 991 series..Smiley

    Just speculating here, but I think the GT2 will use whatever the TT uses - it'd be too expensive to put turbos on just one engine especially for the GT2.

    Now since the PDK is, as someone pointed out, a 'must-have' for the TT then I'd assume it would be whatever engine can take the PDK that goes in the 997.2 GT2 but mated with a manual.

    I don't think DFI is a major issue - I think Porsche will put whatever engine they think has to most potential in the 997.2TT and GT2. These are their flagships and it would be most logical that performance comes before emissions. Of course in a very Porsche fashion, both cars will be squeaky clean for their class, but I don't expect much loving from the tree huggers...

    Back to the 997.2 GT3, it's kindda hard to see what they'd do the the RS now that the 'normal' GT3 is so (apparently) honed. I mean, you can get the super-skinny seats, lightweight head lights, single nut wheels, roll cage, etc. in the GT3 already. I can't see how they'd go more track-orientated than this. May be the usual trick of plastic windows, even more giant rear wing and a wide body. Traditionally, going from GT3->RS doesn't mean more power, so I can hardly see what they might do... but i'm ready to be pleasantly surprised... may be CF body panels to keep the weight (from going to a wide body and bigger wing etc.) down...

    Anyway, I really salute Porsche for introducing this car - or rather even bothering to update it. Between everyone going crazy about the Panamera, introducing monster saloons, going all green and the auto industry going into bankruptcy, it's nice to see someone still basically "doing 'cos driving is fun". Great stuff.
