ISUK:
I had to laugh at the Kermit pic It's actually not as much of a Kermit shade as the Lamborghini green but it does toatally transform the look of the car making it appear lower and wider for some reason. It certainly got a lot of positive attention and two young mums pulled up next to me in a parking lot and asked if they could take pics as they thought it was stunning. Can't make up my mind that I really need it but I am sorely tempted.
R8 4.2 FSI is a great sportscar. Period. YES, you can use it daily. I do not know how much mls are on that car just, here are few tips from me:
-on first 5000km or so(3000mls) oil consumption is noticable. Always keep fresh pack of oil if you Audi dealer is not close to your home/work. After 10000km or so oil consumption will drop-this is remark of all high reving V8 and V10 engines from Audi/Lambo.
-tires. Always use Pirelli P Zero R01 or Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 R01. They are designed for R8(little bit different mixture then N1 or N0 for Porsches). Pirelli's are better.
-brakes. They are little bit overservoed at first. You will get used to it, on some R8 they could be noisy-I personally do not care since they are really good(standard brakes).
-fuel consumption is on the high side unless you drive very carefully(throttle)
-since you have pretty good experience with mid engine sportscar warning about the way how mid engine sportscar needs to be driven fast is no need for you.
If you have any other question just ask.
My advice? If your friend is that one I am thinking about(Audi UK) then go for it! Make good deal for potential trade-in for R8 5.2 FSI(UK intro is in mid May) if you will be interested(keep your options open). Honestly, that Java Green looks totally awsome! ...and it is manual!
