i agree with you pentium, the scud is the best car i have ever driven, it still impress me every time i drive it! i didn't find a single mistake in that car, in simple words its perfect! but i don't want to take a hit when the 450 chimes in.. and especially since like kreso said, and i also heard it from insiders, the new model is amazing design wise..
also for those who didnt drive the scuderia, there is something amazing about it... even though on paper it only has +30hp and -100kg, when compared to a 430 (i also had one) it feels like it has 150HP more.. can't understand why...

No way I'd sell a Scud prior to seeing & driving the successor. Much more costly to try & buy back your beloved Scud. which could be the car to keep if these pictures tell much of the story.

SciFrog:The 360CS is still a very desirable car. The prices for 360's continue to drop but a 360CS is going for over $200K here, compared to $130-140K for a 360. Based on that, I think the Scud will retain it's value for some time.

pretty damn serious! im a believer that the day the 450 is out, 430 will look from another age.. and with the current economic situation, better be safe than sorry, i dont want to find myself making a 40% discount on my scud a month before the 450 chimes in.. i may sound a bit pessimistic, but i really am.. i think the worst is yet to come, making $$$ next year will be close to mission impossible.. and i trully hope i am wrong...

The Scuderia is a classic. Even if you decide to get the F450 I would keep the SC in the garage.
But one thing I can say is that Ferrari will not gamble on their V8 cars (unlike Califoria), that's their bread and butter. I have no doubt the real F450 will be a stunning car.
Time will tell, but I think Scuderia will be a classic as much as the Porsche GT3 or GT2 will be a classic. In other words, I don't think so. 10 years from now, the Scuderia will be selling for less than the current price. A real classic will increase in value.

I think it would be a shame to trade a Scud for a F450 "base" model.........A model that will be produced massively compared to the top notch fully revised and fully optimized 430 Scud... In addition to that, I would definitely not adventure into a the 1st year production of any given model... Don't want my car to be there experiment to improve there later model years....
If and only if..... The Scud is to be flipped with the "450 Scud"... But I say, the Scud is a keeper...

Of course it's better, it's the newer car.
But the production of the Scuderia outnumbers that of the Challenge Stradale by far and that's crucial for value retention.

andrea:It's easier today to get a Scud than a CS. The CS is less expensive if you can find one, but not many people are selling them. In another thread here people are saying dealers have new Scud's on the floor selling at MSRP.

Of course prices have fallen & there's greater availability but dont sweat it, it's always the same story; "new" cars that aren't really "new". "Story car" pricing used as the general market. Internet people talking about how many there are & how much prices have dropped, it's only until you actually try to buy a car in a REAL transaction that you get hit with reality.

It's always like that isnt it? It NEVER gets less expensive, than you thought.
One of very few & biggest benefits of what's happened is that in the US it will be easier for a person like myself that buys cars to enjoy & not for flipping for a profit to get a car much sooner. It really does shake out a lot of the speculation. Although I'm sure w/ the 430 successor there will still probably by quite a bit of it happening again for a while.

I'm actually pretty comfortable with this styling. I see big hints of F355 and a dash of Lambo in the front air dam.
Get rid of the angular humped front wheel houses and I'd say we have a winner.

Styling is a little over the top. Almost GT-R like with all the air vents and flat front. Not good, and not something Ferrari would every put out. I hope.
