I mean the lug nuts, only one instead of five (as in case of the convertible). Sorry for my bad English. Smiley

    Re: 997.2 Turbo spied again

    so  no front differnces???

    front bumper nothing??

just  taillights  and the obvious PDK?

sorry this car is not worthing...

    Re: 997.2 Turbo spied again

I read in the new GT porsche that the 997.2 Turbo will NOT have the PDK, I hope its a misprint as they confirmed two issues prior that it would have the PDK. Also I was looking forward to seeing the higher front lights and door mounted rear view mirrors but judging by these pics all we can expect are the LED upgrades. Bummer.

    Re: 997.2 Turbo spied again

Who knows if the 997.2 TT would be really faster and better than 997.1 TT?

I am in dilemma - to wait or not to wait?

    Pls advise.

On the positive - If it doesn't have PDK, it means you can still get the real deal, the GT1 block.  The new GT3 stays w/ the GT1, the .2 Turbo will too imho guess. The door mounted rear view mirrors were on the successor not .2 right?

It would & you can.  You also need the exhaust tips to make it look right..

I don't think this will be the worst facelift ever, the turbo looks absolutely fresh at the front so there is simply no need to change anything. Smiley

    Re: 997.2 Turbo spied again

I'd love the front to look like a cross-over between 997tt mk1 and GT2: The shape of the inlet of the turbo's, but without the foglights, as seen on the GT2.

    Re: 997.2 Turbo spied again

Hopefully, a new "compressed"  Engine with 500 hp or more, no turbo lag and a PDK. Otherwise i might start thinking of R8 V10!!! and look for 991 turbo.

It's time to move forward for Porsche!!

As much as I love my Turbo, my opinion is that the new Turbo will be faster and "better." While the new engine may not be as well regarded, from a driver's standpoint, the new car will have to be better in most important aspects, starting with speed. PAG engineers are no dummies.

The more important question is this: Are you willing to pay $140,000  for a car when pictures of its successor -- 991 or whatever it is -- have already been seen floating around the internet? No matter how beautiful we think the current car is, chances are that the new design will make ours look dated. And it will be a bigger leap forward with respect to performance.

Since I like to keep my car for many years and don't want to have the feeling of buying a has-been, the sweet spot for me is the second year of production for any model. For the Turbo, this means MY 2008, not now. But this is a personal decision, aided by lucky timing; there is no right or wrong.

    Re: 997.2 Turbo spied again

I like your 2nd production year of a new model, I have done the same also quite a few times.

    Re: 997.2 Turbo spied again

Where are the daytime running lights? No rear light strip like the Carrera 4's, if they do have them I wonder where they will put the rear turbo script on the back because there will be no room.

The touchscreen new PCM is already in the car as from MY09 i.e. September 2008 onwards.
