I dunno, that rear wing looks like one of MMD's special friend examples
Alex, who or what is MMD?
Yeh, we all ask ourselves that from time to time.

HAHA! I'm flattered! Thanks fellas.
Any attention is flattering (except the very negative kind)
Now I feel compelled to post this baby:

Who makes the 5 spoke wheels shown on the silver turbo? JPG 62
Rinspeed C5, beautiful but (extremely) unfortunately, only available in 20 inches size.
Before the HRE P40 came out, I used to email Rinspeed's headquarter in Europe urging them to release 19 inch version. Unsuccessfully of course.
20 inch wheel. Why - why - why...

Super Darius:
need a doctor?
I certainly need to lay down after seeing the prices for these kits!!
Bare minimum components for:
** all approx costs.
It's the front lip of the Techart I that gets me, £2k!! I'd need a new one every couple years with it getting scratched. The speedArt lip is a slightly more civilized £1k in comparison. Still crazy prices though.

Crazy as it sounds, have you checked into buying the TechArt stuffs from the US? Not as attractive as last year when BP to dollar ratio was something like 2:1, but should help a little bit.
I've seen the TechArt II kit on a 996 Turbo. Looks nice, but not stunningly nice and not that-price nice.
If you decide to go with the TechArt I kit, you might want to look at the side rocker panel in person beforehand. This particular part always stands out to my eyes as it looks thick & tacked-on, like it doesn't belong w/ the car.

Hey Alex,
Still thinking about a bodykit?
Why? Is it because the looks of the regular turbo don't appeal to you anymore?
For myself, I would much rather consider tuning the performance than the looks. For one reason or another, most bodykits look to much like what they are: body kits: add-on parts, only influencing the body. This makes them all look a bit tacky imo, unless you also tune the performance.
Might I suggest an alternative? Why not look into OEM parts for the RSR or so? I love the widebodies of those cars, must look stunning on the turbo as well. (But still, only if the performance is upped as well ;-) )

Hey Joost
No, my 'regular' Turbo still very very much appeals to me. I can't not take a picture of it after even washing!!
I am just planning ahead as bodykit is pretty much the only thing I haven't modified yet! Performance - done, wheels - done, suspension - done, sound - done, heal'n'toe - done!
The only thing left is an iPod interface, some day runtime lights, and a body-kit! Recent pics from Cannga and Eclou with their Techart add-ons really got me thinking though.
If I do modify the aerodynamics I want a full kit though as if I go back on the German Autobahns then the last thing I want is a setup that has not be wind-tunnel tested! I haven't seen a kit as yet though that I think 'yes, I love every single part of that kit - so much so I will spend $$$$'
Hmmmmm....

That's the same problem I have. I like part of some kits and part of others. For example the TechArt II rear end looks very nice to me, but not its front. And overall, none looks particularly stunnning to justify the price -- different but not necessarily better.
Adding in the cost issue and it's easy to understand the decision could be quite difficult.
The one rear-end and kit that cause my heart to flutter is actually the Gemballa Avalanche.
