    Hi Alex,

    October Smiley

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

Mike, I go away for a couple of months and you are up to your old tricks!  Lol.  What other cars did I miss in the last 2 months?

Haha, none yet. I'm busy building more garages - I must check if I have any money left after that for more cars Smiley

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

You must do what my friend did.  He built an underground garage for his collection.  A 16 car garage.  He has a collection that is in many ways is similar to yours (currently Phantom, LP640, ML63, previously F430 but now gone, 997 but turbo etc).

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

I would love to, but the ground conditions where I'm going to build have boulders the size of small houses. The blasting would cost a fortune to go deep enough for a underground garage. I've got a lot of open space which I can build on. I'm going for a 40 car garage at the moment and then eventually have plans to abe able to expand to a 80+ car garage though Smiley

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

    40 car garage?  Wow!!!

WOWOWOW!!! I love the rear boot lip. Reminds me of the E46 M3 CSL! I LOVE IT! Argh, this just makes the wait even that much more agonizing! Smiley

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

The hood intakes are a bit too much, but the car will be amazing...

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

What is the bhp out of the V12 vantage?

But I'm a ton lighter Smiley

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

better than vanquish, probably the best AM design ever until we see what the 177 really looks like. (except for the 2 long hood vents) nice color too.

the rear boot lip reminds me of the spoiler on my 928.

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

    Here is the one-77

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

Your pics are not loading for me Mike. If they are the dark studio-like PR shots from aston, i have seen those but can not make a decision based on those. You have to see the real car in a real place like the Vantage shots above to really decide good or bad.

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

    just read this, impressive

Although the V12 engine weighs 100 kg more than the standard car’s engine, intelligent use of lightweight materials and components including carbon ceramic brakes, lighter forged aluminum wheels, lightweight inner rear quarter panels and optional lightweight seats have resulted in the overall kerb weight being only 50 kg heavier than its V8 sibling. The ensuing weight distribution provides for balance that is near perfect (51:49).

Exclusively available with a six-speed manual transmission, the gearbox uses a transaxle configuration to aid weight distribution.

Nice to know I'm getting my monies worth Smiley

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

Here's my attempt at what my car will look like in the end. Frost white, with anthracite Dymag wheels. The interior I want that Zonda red leather. I don't know if I should perhaps try and paint the calipers white or have them done in red?

Re: I'm going to spoil myself this weekend

Thanks, those are new ones for me.

Gee I don't know, those rear hips are awfully big. Makes it look like an early  911 turbo. Smiley Maybe its the lens on the camera.

The front looks like a 612. Not sure I like this. I need to see more pics.

The V12 vantage is still in the lead. I would like to hear the exhaust sound from both.

the one-77 is looking awesome. sorry for the topic change Mike Smiley . i still think its not a wise move to buy one, future astons will end up looking like that anyways.

On this image it is one of the beste rear fenders! Just look at how much tension is in that surface which makes the rear wheel arch!!! Fantastic design!!!

From this view yes, the rear fenders look massive and very masculine. But viewed from the opposite direction from the front, I think those rear fenders are just too much. Coke bottle shape at a car is fine even nowadays, just have a look at the fantastic body of the 997 models (especially AWD), but what Aston Martin created here is simply over the top in my eyes. I agree with you Rossi, but the truth is that this being the first not a scale down or up of an existing Aston, I really like it and I like the Aston´s courage to over do it.

About the 997 I like more the 997 GT2... viewed three quarters from the back... awesome!!!
