    Thank goodeness.

I thought I was going mad for a while!

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

"Cocoon" - or not ,  at the end  Panamera is fantastic !!      Smiley

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

it sure is. i salute PAG for having the cojones to do something different. they failed with the cayenne (lookwise) and got it right with the panam.

fab! I liked since first moments and this picture is stunning! Porsche invested a lot on this project!

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

Yeah Porsche has made a good investment and I'm cofident the car will take off, but there will be some hurdles as the economic climate is currently very bad and will worsen as we get closer to 2010.

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

Well the first hurdle is the price. 15/20% more than a Cayenne? But Porsche has done it before, Cayman priced higher than Boxster!

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

You can´t compare Panamera with Cayenne. Two different ligas!

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

when comparing prices, we need to bear in mind that the cayenne has a shared platform vs the new platform of the panamera. its not based on a phaeton or a8 chassis. hence you will also find the 911 turbo more expensive than a cayenne turbo.

Two different PRODUCTS, not ligas. Smiley

I know that Porsche wants to make people believe that the Panamera uses a completely new platform/technology but it does (and will even MUCH more in the future) share the platform with the Cayenne.

still two different products! Who cares how much they share?

It is so good, that we can choose - for you a Cayenne and for me a Panamera Smiley

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

I´m really liking it as wellSmiley.

On a related note, with all the talk about its high price, how does it compare in price to the S63 AMG?

Silver cars. How can a manufacturer even show them in this color. They should hide they forever.

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

Wow! I have a different opinion.

These are the first pictures of the turbo that I really like.

It is also the first picture of the side view of the car that i really like.

PS - All Panamera's should have these rims.

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

I like this angle, but the silverish/whitish outline of the turn signals in front look bad...

I would love to see this car in black, with black wheels, and ceramic brakes, and slightly tinted windows Smiley

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

This car has a very unique design (maybe a bit black/white like, some will like it, some will hate it). The lines look much better on these real life pics than on the official press pics Smiley

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

Yes..the more i see the pics, the more i like the car..

Well,is not MY car, but  i start to like it

maybe first shot doesn't give the right effect, hope to see one in reality soon.

Re: Panamera - Not a good start

3000 mile (4800 km) sign-off drive in Autocar magazine this week. Try to read it as unfortunately I am not near a scanner.

Very complimentary for the new Porsche. "Closer to a supercar than any saloon has a right to be" one of the conclusions for the Turbo. I expect that the 612 Spaghetti and 4porte  will eat humble pie (or pasta) next autumn.

BTW the new real world pictures above (in GT silver I believe) look even better. Of course some people will stick to their initial dislike.

On this picture I think it look very nice: 80903_salongeneve09_1108_122_227lo.JPG

now for being the car there I´m really sorry for not attending the Geneva motorshow. And this is the first time in 6 years! Alos I don´t understand Porsche why did they allowed the car there if they have made no official presentation!!! Or maybe to show that the car was misjudged by many? Smiley And with some good comments they will soften the comments after the official presentation?
