    ECU re-map? Need opinion.

    I am thinking to re-map the ECU of my Vantage. I know it won't have much bhp gain as a turbo car, but not sure how much bhp I should expect.

    Also, anyone knows a good tunner in ECU re-map for AM?

    Don't do it. Minimal gain, loose warranty.

    I just did the power upgrade on my 4.3, but it is from the factory...

    If you feel the car is too slow, you bought the wrong car. You could try supercharge it, but IMHO the extra stress on the car woud be too much long term.

    Would never do it on a petrol, non turbo based car. 

    Doesnt bring that much and as SciFrog said you will loose the warranty.

    I would never ECU remap a normally aspirated car.  Just not worth it.

    I know it can't compare with my Gallardo, but the mod bug is biting.Smiley

    I never have an experience in ECU re-map so I am very curious about it.

    Thanks you so much for your advise. I know it's not worth to re-map a NA car ECU.

    May be it's more worth to mod a turbo car. Just read a news that my 335i could have a ECU re-map with 20bhp more from BMW factory. Sound really simply to have a reasonable percentage of bhp gain.

    Wouldn't be surprised if Aston come out with a performance pack soon for the 4.7 in the same mold as the one for the 4.3.... hopefully that would help cure the bug....
