I'm hard core "less is more." The stock quads are non-functional ornamentation to begin with and that alone bothers me. To see them with additional embellishment doesn't make sense in my minimalist private Hell. They add even more visual clutter back there IM_H_O. If somebody else likes them, and orders them, I say "No problem."

LOL!
I think there is some truth to an intentional resemblance.
There's nothing subtle about advertising anymore and millions of dollars are spent to figure out how people's minds work and what they respond to.
Circumcision kinda went out of style 25 years ago, didn't it? Maybe this "foreskin exhaust tip" is intentionally trying to appeal such non-modded guys.
Need "proof?" Do you think the following comparison is coincidental? Or do you think Dodge finalized this grille after some serious market research?
MMD:Hey MMD, your car, your pelvis?

If yours looks like that you need to see an urologist..
Too funny - exact the same posting (including John's recommendation ) could be read in a german speaking P-Board. Seems that P-nuts all over the world think the same
On a more serious note (as nobody seems to have understood my subtle hint in the parallel thread ). The all black tubes may serve a practical reason: DFI engines actually blow out more of the black stuff than non-DFI engines (exhaust tips will show earlier and more dirt)
Maybe fritz can explain the technical background
