Going on recent statistics with crashed Ferraris....it's fortunate that Ronaldo's car didn't burst into flames!
That tunnel is notorious for 'listening to your exhaust'....I've done it myself. 
My thoughts are that, having only had it for 2 days, he completely under-estimated the acceleration levels and simply spun into the wall. He was probably trying to give his team mate, in the car behind, the benefit of a blast from his exhaust.

"Sir, Regarding the report
(Jan 9) about Cristiano Ronaldo crashing his Ferrari in a tunnel, is it true
that he thought the wall should have been farther back?"
