I've just rejoined Porsche Club GB, largely encouraged by your great adventure. As I understand it, these trips are arranged by the individual Regions? If so can a member from any region join in?

dreamcar, pleased to hear you've rejoined the PCGB
Regions do organise different events of which Yes you can attend any you wish, however preference is sometimes given to the more local people.
This event was part of the 997 register trip, but being a friendly bunch (we like to think) we certainly don't close ranks to interested parties
Other events for next year include hopefully a Champagne tour, D Dday tour along the French Coast along with a visit to ACE cafe and a weekend event at Poole Harbour with a BBQ and hopefully boat ride. Possibly ending next year with a xmas party in Brugge.

Thanks for the welcome I could well be interested in the "D" Day Tour, and the weekend event at Poole as it's ony 30 miles from where I live. Kinrara is also joining PCGB and I know he's interested like myself in the Ace Cafe visit and am sure would also attend Poole.
Shame I missed this years Alpine Passes Tour, I'd really loved to have done that
