Must be the case.
I really like the car, looks great from every angle, the first BMW with a great design (except maybe for the 3series coupé) in years.
Especially like it in dark colours, looks even better than this "grigio ingrid" in the second pics.

I like the new shape. Its main rival the Mercedes SLK, looks like a toy car now.
It also looks much much better than the Ferrari California in profile open or closed, although people willing to spend 200K Euro on a Ferrari will never admit to it.
Is the Auto 7 speed a dual-clutch transmission?

Ron (Houston):Exactly my thoughts.
This car looks damn good, the lines and curves are so nice. I hope BMW would follow this design trend for the future cars. Hopefully they're getting back to their roots when BMW was synonymous with beauty.
The new 7 doesn't look good though .

Better than perfect :)
Weights:
sDrive23i: 1480 kg (1505 kg)
sDrive30i: 1490 kg (1505 kg)
sDrive35i: 1580 kg (1600 kg)
BMW Z4 sDrive 23i (204 HP) = €35,900
BMW Z4 sDrive 30i (258 HP) = €42,900
BMW Z4 sDrive 35i (306 HP) = €47,450
Damn, that's pretty heavy.
And why does it "only" get the 258 hp and 306 hp versions of those engines (when the 330i has 272 hp and the 740i has 326 hp)?

Can someone explain the naming convention please ? What's sDrive 30i and 35i, is this new ?

It's the NWO from BMW, all the 4wd cars are now xDrive and the sporty cars are sDrive.
Another very nice picture, form certain angles this car is stunning!

I don't expect 3.0 R6 272 hp engine, because it isn't mentioned in any internal broschure. N54 engine in Z4 is "35i" , while N54 engine in 7er is "40i", which means F01 got N54 stage 2 engine while Z4 got stage 1 engine. Later, sDrive40i will be introduced, which I think it will have same engine as 740i got or maybe even more powerfull..
I got official brochure this weekend and when I read it I was somehow dissapointed with some technical aspects. All NA engines are not current highest BMW standard. Weight is up little bit too much.
...and biggest problem IMHO-new Z4 looks way better in darker colors. You know what people say when car do not look good in silver-that its desing is actually average quality.... Hopefully, I will be more impresses when I see it nexxt summer. Currenty, for me-not bad but, nothing more..

As I said before.
But Kreso, I don't think that it's a real problem: new Z4 is a car, which I would only order in dark colours and it really isn't bad-looking in lighter colours, just not as good as in dark paint.
Bigger problem IMO is the heavy weight and the NA-engines which are a step back.

I like it in lighter colours... found this photoshop:
This will be probably my choice. I also like it in "Orion Silver" or "Deep sea blue."
Thats true N52 isn't good as N53, but who cares for those engines when N54 is available
