Turbo4ever:
I would like to know what engine in this car.
GT1 or 9A1?
Most recent rumors (as best as I can follow them) suggest 9A1 with true dry sump (external oil tank).

agreed. The mkII GT3 seems to be fitted with a smaller RS wing. Article on EVO does not provide any info on engine and perf. makes it even sound as if very little would be achieved on that end (direct injection, no PDK)
This being said It looks stunning from the side and back. nice angling of the body from back to front.

No,i think is not the RS
Is not wide body, look under the door, there is no sideskirt like in wide body 997 and GT3RS MK1
so,is the regular GT3 with RS wing on..

I guess BLU fell off of the face of the Earth (or cannot verify ). Oh well, it was a good story none the less.

i heard from porsche in stuttgart that the GT3 MKII will not get PDK. and the cayenne diesel is available now. its already on the german configurator.
apparently, this is in fact the GT3 and not the RS. This will be the new GT3 wing, which is a lot narrower than the known RS wing.
looks like its gonna have central wheel locks. doesnt it?
greets...

cello, yes i received the info from the porsche dealer in stuttgart but they share lots of working space and time with the people that work inside the factory next door and they also come across lots of peple working at Weissach.
So far, noone is really sure if the new GT3 will get the DFI for sure. However, one thing they are sure about is that it wont get the PDK option.
I guess we will just have to wait and see. Will post new info as soon as i hear it...

Ok Thx - Any word on (1) whether the engine will be 3.8L (or 3.6 as it has been) and (2) whether it will be the A91 engine (or the older M97 engine)?
No offense but the photographer in enzo911's photos must have been on something! We've seen photos of the carbon fibre wing for months. Who needs a close up of the wing...The million dollar shot was about 3 feet below... the engine!... how can you breach the perimeter of a compound, stand a metre from the new gt3 and not take a photo or at least report on the engine? I'm sure a split case or oil pan engine would have stood out like dog's b%#....
