Why? Where do you see a disadvantage?
The disadvantage (at least for BMW's) is that when you leave the key in it, and step out say if you're washing it, sometimes the doors will randomly lock and unlock, and this can be incredibly inconvenient!

The water pressure is so high that it can activate the button for opening and closing the door. If you try the same without washing the car, nothing will happen.

Are you sure? You can order a USB stick now in the shape of the 911 key, so why not in the shape of the panamera key?
