Dyson Racing Team, Inc. is offering for sale its Porsche RS Spyder, Chassis 704.
The car has an extensive racing history, with highlights including:
3rd place, 2007 ALMS LMP2 Championship (Leitzinger / Wallace)
3rd place, 2007 Porsche Cup
2nd place overall, 2008 12 Hours of Sebring (Leitzinger / Franchitti / Lally)
The car is offered with an engine installed, plus a comprehensive spares inventory, including but not limited to bodywork, transmission, suspension components, Sachs shock absorbers, Motec data acquisition / telemetry systems. The team will also provide some technical assistance as part of a transaction.
The car has been immaculately maintained to Dyson Racing’s exacting standards throughout its two years of service in the American Le Mans Series.
Porsche Motorsport AG and Porsche Motorsport North America have pledged ongoing support of this project for the next owner.
This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of racing history which is also the acknowledged benchmark package for American Le Mans Series and Le Mans Series LMP2 competition. The car is eligible through at least the 2010 season.

Apparently the other has been sold.
It will be interesting to see who purchased chasis 703 from Dyson which was Chris Dyson's #16 car. There are some pictures on the Web of a Dyson transporter pulling up to BK Motorsports. Hence. adding to the rumor that Dyson will be running Mazada powered Lola coupe next year. Also, looks like Patrick Long will be driving for Farnbacher Loles in 2009 ALMS.
Any news from Porsche on their 2009 plans?
