Grant, isn't the car you're showing the '74 RSR Turbo? I agree to the 2.8 RSR being the most sexy 911 though!

You can tell it's before 1974 from the long hood and the grilles next to the lights (both gone after 1973).

You can also tell because its got a great big sticker next to the front left head light saying "1973"

The design of the side intakes on the 996/997 turbo cars is so weak. They need to come up with something more attractive on the new model.

Judging by the pictures above the profile of the new turbo cabrio looks clumsy. The line from soft top hood to hump to wing lacks any grace.

Haha, well done!
BTW, from the spyshots of the 991 turbo cab, it looks like the inlets in the front bumper are indeed wider, so that the blinkers do not extend over the edge anymore... good job Porsche!

It looks like only the outer pipes of the exhaustpipes are real; only those are black, the inner pipes are less dirty.

I guess that is controlled by the DME , maybe only used with the overboost or under certain conditions....

Must say... I am loving the new 911! I think Porsche designers have made an overall great job with this latest evolution, especially around the back and interior of the car.

For my first post I compliment you with a render I prepared envisioning a possible 911 Turbo. I think it is obvious where I got the inspiration from... Enjoy!

I am very thankful for your welcome compliments. I am glad you enjoyed the rendering... of course, the production 911 Turbo won't look as nearly as this but hey... one can dream, right?

The true inspiration for the rendering was indeed the 918 Spyder Concept but, like fritz points out, the rear end of that concept resembles the GT1 itself.

It seems way too early to have any concrete info on the TT, GT2, GT3 etc. The attention is still very much focussed on the launch of the 991 Carrera and 991 Carrera S.

If I remember correctly, TT gets released within 12 months of 997.2, then one month later it is GT3? Does that sound right to you guys?
