Of course but I wouldn't bet on it.
Looking at the McLaren power figures and how things evolve right now in the segment, I think it is going to be a regular (but newly developed and light lower displacement, under 4.0 l) V8 biturbo, probably with some hybrid tech "support" to keep emissions down and power up.
Officially, this car isn't even in development yet, so I have to base my assumptions on various rumors only.
The problem here are the Huracan and the R8, it would be too expensive to build a 960 on a completely separate platform, so all three (and probably another one or two projects) need to be using the same platform. Won't happen before 2020 I'm afraid.
