    Re: New 997TT from Italy

I agree about the rear panel, especially the exhaust housings. Surely Porsche will design these better on the final car, or at least provide a decent explanation of why the housings are so large compared to the pipes.

I am still not convinced about the rims, but I am sure options will be available.

I am going to the press days at Geneva, and will write some early reports for the Board at that time.

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

Dark red looks great, reminds me of the burgandy used on the 959......

false alarm guys, this is just a bunch of 996s, you can tell by the headlights they still put on the yellow one that is fooling everyone!!!:):)

this was a joke, my point was that there is no point in putting tape over the lights anymore!!! everyone knows what they are looking @ 1 month from launch! (or 3 or whatever). Especially considering 996's arent made anymore in any trim!

??? Do you mean these are not 997's? Take a good look my friend!

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

Do you think it is possible that Porsche will change the exhaust for the official car or keep the gimicky one we see here. I would like to see the same shaped exhaust but larger, taking up the entire exhaust opening instead of being surrounded by that stupid moulded plastic. Why would they go throught the trouble of moulding that ugly plastic peice when they could have just made larger or more attractive. I dont get it.

the holes are too big for the pipes , hard to believe that this is the final way it will be , It is the most annoying detail on the car I believe .

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

    i really like the wheels!

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

can anyone photoshop the lights on the yellow TT so it looks like a 997 front instead of a 996... I wanna picture what my baby is gonna look like Thanks in advance!!!

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

    LOL, Bostonmini,
    Did not read that...

did it a bit quickly but it should give u the idea, I was a bit curious myself

I must say that I still like the 996TT over this one

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

Nice shop. Yellow isn't the best colour but the car definetly looks great in dark colours.

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

This is the final product you're seeing, only the frontlights and a tiny bit the new LED daylights are camouflaged.

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

I guess they thought it would be a cleaner look with the moulding... its not that bad

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

I think a black/black turbo will look outstanding. I can't wait to see more high quality pictures of this combination.

You might want to think about what a hot exhaust pipe would do to a moulded plastic rear bumper skirt if there were no gap or only a small gap between them. Got it now?

    Re: New 997TT from Italy

I still don't like the foglights and the mould in the front bumper.

Re: Stiched - New 997TT from Italy

It's supposed to be exactly the same on the TT and the 4S but at one point it was mentioned that the top of the hips of the TT would be ' flatter' in order to have a wider look.
    Is this still true?

Re: Stiched - New 997TT from Italy

    RC should know....

Re: Stiched - New 997TT from Italy

seams strange how these cars are parked. Just so you can see every angle...

I think that was a quote from some press report comparing C4S to C2.

The wider bodies have been quoted as being 44 mm wider than C2.
